Late summer burst

Summer is nearly over but I couldn't resist these beauties when I spotted them recently!

I wasn't sure if I could pull off floral jeans but these don't look tacky like some I've seen can and they fit really well.
I've kept it simple and worn plain vest tops with them as none of my floral tops would suit to work a double floral look.

I did think I was going to have to lock them away until spring but if the weather forecast is to be believed we may be enjoying an indian summer next week in London. Fingers crossed, I'm already freezing and its only September!

Recent autumn staples

With the weather taking a turn for the worse and summer pretty much over I went out on the hunt for some autumn/winter staple items to get me through the windy streets of London intact.

If you can believe I haven't owned a pair of jeans for mmm, almost two years! I decided to hit the little treasure that is oxford street Topshop one rainy sunday morning (the perfect time to avoid the crowds) and raided the denim section. I like skinny jeans, but I walk pretty much everywhere and have super strong calves as a result! After trying on 18 pairs(!!!) I was like cinderella and eventually found the perfect fit.

While in Topshop I spotted the gorgeous grey hooded top (also in black, navy, jade, burgundy, blonde and forest) and took forever to decide on the colour as really I want to buy one in every shade. I went for my trusty grey colour but hope to go back and get more in the future as with its fleece lining it is the perfect winter warmer, especially when you work in a studio with no heating!

To complete my autumn purchases I had to opt for the classic chino. I went for a slim fit as being wide hipped I feel the classic cut doesn't suit my frame. Chinos are everywhere this autumn but it depends how you wear them to stand out from the crowd.

Home comforts

My Dad's staple meal is sausage, mash and baked beans (always Heniz). He is not very good with the concept of vegetables and your 5 a day. I used to hate it as a teenager, every meal had to come with mash and beans! Now whenever I go home its the first meal I request as it completes the home experience.

My own version of my Dad's classic is a lovely pork & leek sausage, lump free mash with a spoonful of wholegrain mustard. finished off with peas and red onion gravy!  - perfection!

I added the cider as a cheap dinner drink which suits sausages perfectly!

Barry M - 293 Grey

I love Grey, I can't help it! I know some people think its boring and dull but I adore it! It goes with everything without being classic black.

I recently stopped biting my nails and I have been discovering all sorts of things like NAIL POLISH! Its opened a whole new accessory option....

I think I killed my plant......

Alexander Skarsgard

First of all when watching "True Blood" it was all about Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) but then Eric Northman (Alexander Skargard) wiped the floor with him. Not to mention his AMAZING performance in "Generation Kill" (if you haven't watched it, do so immediately).

Here he is on the cover of Wonderland magazine. *swoon*

P.S. Daniel Craig your still my number one but this doesn't mean I have forgiven you for "Cowboys and Aliens" .

Virgin Krispy Kreme

After 24 years of my life, on my to do list was to have a Krispy kreme.

Recently I finally hit my local Tesco express which in London stock a constant supply of Krispy Kreme delights. I decided on a classic "glazed" - raced home and poured myself a glass of ice cold milk to wash down my sweet treat! It was much lighter than I expected and well worth the wait.

Next on my Krispy Kreme list... maybe caramel??
